Our 2024 ESG results: discover our new EcoVadis rating!

In 2022, we took the unusual step for an SME of having our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) assessed. We chose to be assessed by EcoVadis, the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings.

We recently undertook a second EcoVadis assessment.

What is our 2024 EcoVadis result?

We’re delighted to announce that we have maintained our silver medal status.

Our new score was equal to or higher than 93% of the companies rated by EcoVadis at the time of our assessment. As EcoVadis has rated more than 130,000 organisations, that’s no mean feat!

We were particularly pleased to maintain our 90/100 score for ethics. So far, no company of our size has scored higher than this.

How EcoVadis rates companies

The EcoVadis sustainability assessment methodology evaluates how well a company has integrated the principles of Sustainability/CSR into their business and management system. It is based on seven founding principles:

  • Assessment by International Experts
  • Tailored to Industry Sector, Country and Company Size
  • Source Diversification to Ensure Rich Stakeholder Input for Reliable Scoring
  • Utilise Technology to Ensure a Secure and Confidential Process and Accelerated Cycle Time
  • Traceability and Transparency of Documentation
  • Evidence-Based
  • Excellence Through Continuous Improvement

Is it easy to pass an EcoVadis assessment?

No. An ESG assessment is a significant commitment which requires input from senior management.

EcoVadis assessed us on various topics. These included:

  • Environment
  • Labour and human rights
  • Ethics

What evidence does EcoVadis look for?

We had to supply copies of relevant policies, internal reports and proof of internal and external communications, including our ESG newsletter.
