The Astun User Conference will be taking place on 20th June 2017 at Conference Aston, on the Aston University campus in the heart of Birmingham.

Last year over 70 delegates from 43 organisations attended the first Astun User Conference. In 2017 we will be using the larger Steelhouse conference suite to make room for 100+ delegates.

What's Going On?

The Astun User Conference is aimed at existing and potential Astun customers. It provides a great opportunity to catch up with the Astun team, hear about our future plans and network with other users.

The day comprises a morning session with a keynote presentation by Mike Saunt, Astun’s founder, followed by presentations from customers. The afternoon session is focused on training / demonstration workshops, designed to provide both insight and practical demonstrations to help our customers get the most out of their software investment.

Afternoon Session

The afternoon is split into two workshop streams; one for iShare and one for QGIS. These will each run twice so all delegates can attend both sessions.

The Venue 

Conference Aston is situated in the Aston University Business School.

Attendees will be welcomed for teas and coffee in the Lichfield Suite which is also where we will have lunch.

Getting There

Conference Aston is conveniently located on the Aston University Campus in the centre of Birmingham. You can download this useful guide or go to the Conference Aston website which tells you all you need to know. 

If you are travelling by car you will need to book parking which again can be done through the Conference Aston website.

Accommodation

There is a limited accommodation available at the onsite Hotel the night before the Conference (19th June).  If you would like to book full accommodation, including breakfast, you can do this online quoting the following reference number: 146492 here.

Astun will be hosting dinner at the Conference Aston Hotel restaurant for any one staying in Birmingham overnight. An email about this will be sent nearer the time.
