OSGIS Workshop 2011
A workshop held during the OSGIS 2011 interoperability day 21st June 2011 hosted by Jo Cook (@archaeogeek) and Matt Walker (@_walkermatt) from Astun Technology. The workshop covers loading OS OpenData and OS MasterMap into PostgreSQL/PostGIS using OGR and the Astun Technology OS MasterMap loader then configuring MapServer to publish and style the data via a Web Map service (WMS).
OS GML loading
OS takes on two meanings here - Open Source and Ordnance Survey. Need to load Ordnance Survey Mastermap or Vector Map Local - then we've a solution for you here including source code
Vigilance Modeller
Predictive burglary modeller available to all Crime & Reduction Partnerhsip in the IUK. North Lincolnshire Safer Neighbourhoods have received some comments on the effectiveness of the predictive burglary ‘hot spot’ maps produced as outputs from the Vigilance Modeller that the partnership developed in cooperation with Astun Technology.
